VISTA FACILITIES

Vistais based out of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Vista currently uses the following existing facilities:

  • Vista Offices and Computing Center, Santa Fe, NM
  • Lieber laboratory, Harvard University through sponsored research agreement
  • UNM Medical School neurological facilities
  • Manufacturing (and marketing) facilities provided through strategic relationships with ICX Mesosystems and Tokyo Electron

These facilities allow Vista to proceed aggressively and immediately upon funding. In the future, Vista's nanowire and wet-lab facilities will be located in Cambridge MA and Santa Fe, NM (MA and NM rank # 1 and 3, respectively, as locations for building nanotechnology start-ups.)

“New Mexico ranks ahead of every state except California and Massachusetts in a business magazine's top-10 list of centers of nanotechnology and microsystems research, development and commercialization.” (SmallTimes 2006)
“In order, the top 10 states ranked by Lux Research are Massachusetts, California, Colorado, Virginia, New Mexico, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland and, in a tie, Illinois and New York.” (Lux Research 2004)
"With its heavy environmental regulations and the cost to do business, New York just bleeds ! people," Modzelewski said. For startup companies, operating costs and permit processes "are a heck of a lot better in places like New Mexico.“ (SmallTimes, 2007)
