VISTA BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS & ASSOCIATIONS

Vista has established a strategic relationship with Charles Lieber’s lab at Harvard University, as well as with ICX MesoSystems, Tokyo Electron, and UNM Neurosurgery. The importance and nature of these relationships is described below. As these alliances involve resources and risks on the part of our partners, they offer the potential for significant reward in the way of stock issued against staged contributions and of enhanced future revenues. Vista and its collaborators are also pursuing grants based on our continuous biomarker measurement systems.

Professor Charles Lieber, of the Harvard Chemistry Department, is widely held as the foremost pioneer in the development of nanowires and applications thereof. He is the patented inventor of most of the core technologies that enable nanowires and was the co-founder of Nanosys, Inc, one of the world’s leading nanotechnology companies. He is Head of Vista’s Scientific Board. Harvard University itself has committed to Vista, contributing substantial IP and research resources.

MesoSystems/ICX, is the world’s largest design-engineering-manufacturer of continuous monitoring devices for weapons and bio-terror agents. MesoSystems has deep expertise in designing/integrating devices substantially more complex than Vista’s Nanobiosensor. MesoSystems will manufacture/assemble Vista’s Nanobiosensor device in its Albuquerque facilities. In addition to the benefits of a strategic partnership with MesoSystems for engineering and manufacturing purposes, MesoSystems’ expertise also accrues to Vista by way of the fact that Dr. Charles Call, a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering and CEO of MesoSystems, has joined Vista’s Scientific Advisory Board. Working closely with Dr. Call and other key personnel at MesoSystems, Vista already has prototypes ready, and they are undergoing internal alpha testing. Vista will install early systems at Harvard and MesoSystems for final optimization and to verify inter-system variability. It will also conduct several critical experiments, the results of which will be published to increase market awareness.

Tokyo Electron Limited is a leading global supplier of semiconductor production equipment, and engages in development, manufacturing, and sales in a wide range of product fields. Tokyo Electron provides highly respected products and services to customers through a global network of approximately 90 locations in 15 countries in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. In addition to providing financing to Vista, Tokyo Electron also gives Vista a high-powered manufacturing and marketing capability.

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico provides high quality neurosurgical care to its patients, rigorously trains its resident physicians, and engages in laboratory and clinical research. Dr. Chris Taylor, who serves as Vista's Chief Medical Officer, is a Professor of Neurosurgery at UNM Medical School. The clinical and medical advantages that accrue to Vista via this relationship speak for themselves.
