VISTA BUSINESS STRATEGY AND PROGRESS

The commercialization of nanowires (NW’s) for biomedical applications requires expertise in chemistry, electronics, computer science, toxicology, drug development and medicine: Vista has assembled a team of specialists who jointly possess the diverse expertise and experience required to take NW’s into the biomedical marketplace. Unlike most start-up businesses, the technical requirements of NW synthesis and measurement preclude a ‘garage-based, organic-growth’ strategy for Vista. Fortunately, Vista has a hands-on strategic relationship with Harvard University and other organizations who are already providing a broad range of support and resources to assist in the challenges of commercializing nanowire technology. Vista's commercialization plan leverages the resources of its partners to ‘jump-start’ the development of its NW products. In fact, a working prototype is already in testing.

Particularly, Vista will continue to expand its considerable requisite levels of expertise and business components:

• Broad, enabling, proprietary platform technology for marker measurement.
• Expertise in all aspects of nanowires.
• Expertise in microfluidics and electronics.

• Expertise in developing/validating markers of organ damage.

• Experience in commercializing tox assays.

• Expertise in capturing existing markets and creating new markets.

• High credibility in tox and regulatory communities.
• Direct access to appropriate patients.
• Existing sets of markers for each major type organ damage.
• Experience in developing scientific software applications.
• Experience in building, capitalizing and managing start-ups.

Vista is now successfully assembling the following core requirements:

• Component parts, assembly and testing process.
• Technical team for fabrication and customer training.
• Core marketing and sales group with mutually supportive expertise.

• Approximately $3 M in working capital by end of ‘09.

To sum up where Vista's current trajectory has taken us:

• Production pathways in place.
• Facilities up and running.
• People hired or identified.

• Target customers identified.

• Production path should allow profitability in 2010!

Even more specifically, here is Vista's performance-to-date summary:

• Vista has achieved stated goals from its Series A round financing.
• NanoBiosensor, Sample Prep. Kit, Cards & software have been prototyped.
• Virtually all of scientific risk has been removed.

• Working partnerships established with to complete manufacturing process.

• Multiple, cash-generating deals in place or in negotiation.

Vista is on time, on target, and under budget!
